Dr. Anne Meek Poetry Prize Judge
Dennis Mahagin’s poems have appeared in journals such as Stirring: A Literary Collection, The Nervous Breakdown, Exquisite Corpse, Connotation Press, Everyday Genius, Elimae, Verse Wisconsin, Necessary Fiction, Fried Chicken and Coffee, and the Good Men Project.
He is the author of two full-length poetry collections: Grand Mal, from Rebel Satori Press, and Longshot & Ghazal, from Mojave River Press. He also edits poetry for Frigg Magazine. He's currently at work on his third poetry collection, entitled Ghost Writer.
Dennis is especially drawn to lyric poetry, such as that of James Wright, Franz Wright, Dennis Johnson, and Gregory Corso.
Andrew Bertaina's short story collection One Person Away From You (2021) won the Moon City Press Fiction Award (2020). He has an MFA from American University in Washington, DC.

He is founding editor of Brevity, the journal of flash nonfiction, and teaches master classes and workshops across the United States as well as in Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, and Mexico.
