First 10 Lines Critique Sessions

Agents and editors are so swamped with submissions that they look for quick ways to reject everything in their slush pile. How can your writing get their attention? Send the first ten lines of your manuscript to HRW to hear how some of the world's most critical readers would react to your writing. These oral critique sessions will take place on September 18 from 8:30 to 9:40 AM and on September 19 from 8 to 9:10 AM. Are you interested in knowing what literary agents Mark Gottlieb, Heather Flaherty, and Melissa Edwards think about the beginning of your work?

If so, send EIGHT (8) copies of the first ten lines* of your novel or nonfiction book to:

P.O. Box 56228
